Last week it was revealed that a top FBI investigator working on Robert Mueller’s special counsel, Peter Strzok, was removed from his position due to the discovery of anti-Trump text message between himself and another FBI agent, Lisa Page, who he was having an affair with at the time.
Initially, no reason was given for Strzok’s removal from Mueller’s team over the summer, only to find out that he was removed due to his anti-Trump bias as indicated from text messaged discovered between Strzok and his mistress, who also happens to work for the FBI.
The revelations that Strzok was working on Mueller’s special counsel while he obviously tainted by political bias has led the Senate Judiciary Committee to demand that the FBI turn over all documents and text messages relevant to their probe into Strzok’s bias.
Now, the Department of Justice has become involved and are currently reviewing over 10,000 texts between Peter Strzok and his mistress Lisa Page in order to determine how many were of a political nature.
Justice Department officials are reviewing “over 10,000 texts” between FBI officials Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, Fox News has learned, after it emerged Strzok was removed from Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia probe following the discovery of anti-Trump messages between them.
Department of Justice officials told Fox News they are in the process of going through the texts so they can hand them over to the House Intelligence Committee.
Strzok, who was an FBI counterintelligence agent, had worked on the Mueller probe, but was reassigned to the FBI’s human resources division after the discovery of anti-Trump text messages with Page, with whom he was having an affair. Page was briefly on Mueller’s team, but since has returned to the FBI.
The disclosure of those messages revived Republican concerns about the objectivity of Mueller’s probe.
It’s unclear whether a significant number of the 10,000 texts have anything to do with Trump or the probe itself.
Justice Department officials say the process of reading and redacting the texts could take “weeks,” and that the thousands of text messages between Strzok and Page span over “several months.”
One can only imagine what else Strzok decided to text his mistress that would reveal his, or other Mueller associates, bias towards Donald Trump.
In addition to Strzok being outed as an anti-Trumper, Meuller’s deputy Andrew Weissmann was shown to have congratulated and praised Sally Yates, who was fired by the president after refusing to enforce Trump’s travel ban.
The revelations that a top investigator for Mueller’s special counsel was removed due to revealing his anti-Trump bias in text message only confirms what many Republicans have been saying since the start of the “Russian collusion” investigation, and that is it’s nothing more than an attempt to undo the results of the 2016 election by attempting to force President Trump from office.
Mueller’s investigation is predicated on a debunked “Russian dossier” that contained verifiably false information and should never have been convened since there was no crime to investigate, but rather the team of Democrat donor lawyers are investigating anything and everything in attempts to find a crime…any crime.
Oddly enough, Peter Strzok was also led the FBI’s Clinton e-mail investigation, which turned out being an absolute farce. President Trump perhaps summed it up best in the following tweet:
